I don’t want to keep my photography skills and techniques only for myself. I am offering workshops at my favourite place on our amazing planet called Lofoten islands. Lofoten is a photography paradise where you can learn all important skills to develop your landscape photographs.
Since the aurora forecast is extremely favorable for 27th – 30th September I decided to organize a last minute workshop. The KP will be 6 which means amazing northern light show on the sky. I have personally experienced only KP 5 in Lofoten and the sky was already completely crazy. Since the moon will be new, the sky will be completely dark. This is a lifetime opportunity to see and photograph the most beautiful Aurora Borealis.
I will show you all the most beautiful photo shooting spots around Lofoten. We will be chasing sunrises, sunsets, dramatic clouds and of course especially Aurora Borealis at night.
During this workshop you will learn both how to make perfect one-shots as well as large panorama pictures. When we are taking a break from shooting I will show you how I edit pictures in Photoshop and Lightroom.
As a bonus you will get a short PDF summarizing my photography tips.
You will get basically all my know-how which I got during many years of trial and error photo shooting and at expensive photography courses, which includes:
Recommended equipment: a DSLR camera with lenses (the more, the better, especially wide angles); a tripod; warm outdoor clothes, a headlamp; photo filters, computer so you can directly edit your pictures
The start of the photo tour: Svolvaer, Lofoten – 27th September 15:00
Program: The plan is to photo shoot every sunrise, sunset at different locations around Lofoten and of course Northern lights at night. During the day with boring light for photography, I will show you my editing techniques.
The end of photo tour: Svolvaer, Lofoten – 30th September 8:00
PRICE: Only 9 900 SEK (includes transportation around Lofoten, accommodation and my photography classes)
PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE: Transportation to Lofoten, food and drinks, travel insurance.
MIN 3 and MAX 8 PEOPLE ON THE WORKSHOP. Very friendly and calm atmosphere.
Weather in Lofoten in the end of September: Usually around 10 degrees but can drop of course. It can also be very windy and the peaks of Lofoten can receive the first snow.
How to get to Lofoten? The best way is either to fly to Narvik or take a night train to Narvik from Stockholm and then a bus to Svolvaer.
I am a professional photographer based in Stockholm. Besides my main passion – landscape photography, I also shoot weddings, portraits and properties. At the moment, I am also writing a book about my crazy expedition European Peaks during which I climbed the highest mountain of every European country.
I spent 3 years living in the north of Sweden where I was chasing Northern lights almost every day. My biggest success as a landscape photographer was my picture of Northern lights over Stockholm, which was selected as the best Northern light picture in Sweden of 2018 according to the Facebook page Norrsken.
